Chief Customer Officer
Roger Scott is Chief Customer Officer (CCO) for Confluent, the industry’s leading event streaming platform, built by the originators of Apache Kafka. Roger has responsibility for all customer facing technical resources, from solution engineering through all success functions – technical support, education, professional services, customer success management/engineering and renewals. Confluent is six years old and has recently been elevated to number 6 in Forbes’ annual Cloud 100 list, the ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies. Prior to joining Confluent, at the start of this year, Roger was CCO at New Relic, from 2015, where he was a member of the executive team that helped grow the company from $120m to $600m+, as it expanded it’s penetration into the Enterprise market. The preceding 17 years, Roger spent at Oracle in a variety of solution engineering, business development and marketing leadership roles in North America, Asia Pacific and Europe. Roger started his career in Cape Town, South Africa, working primarily in the field of artificial intelligence and intelligent decision support systems, proving just how long it takes for some technologies to go mainstream! Roger is based in Silicon Valley.
